I do not have to stay outside

Are you up for unguarded and parent-free leisure time? You have style but no money for cultural activities? You want to have a chilled life but lack assistance? Come to the NEEDY CENTRE where #FreeFreetime prevails – self-determined and unattended.
You work in a day-care facility (‘Tagesstruktur’) or work centre and you receive an aver-age monthly allowance of 65 euros for working there 8 hours a day, 5 days a week? How should you finance any leisure activities? Or enjoy sweet idleness?

Assistants for free time, who help you to experience autonomous free time, are not easy to find. In Vienna, there are various providers of ‘inclusive free time’ – but not everything is worthy of the ‘inclusion label’. Being determined by others not by yourself, excessive pedagogy instead of real life – beware of deceptive labels!

The NEEDY CENTRE takes the liberal promise of inclusion literally, and makes it about your needs: others have after-work drinks, here you are served an after-day-care sundowner, get turntables and – massages.

The NEEDY CENTRE is a room for experimentation, a counterstrike against dominant forms of inclusive leisure politics: claim your right for #FreeFreetime, #FreeMassage, #FreeParty.

Chill out after your ‘Tagesstruktur’ and rave to the beats of DJ AMOK & others. Meet friends, freaks, neighbours, individuals who are and who are not disabled by society, migrants, and many more.

The Needy Centre by PRO21 is the festival meeting point of WIENWOCHE

PRO21 frees love, sex, and other ‘disabled’ realities from taboos: intellectual disability, social resistance and activism should no longer exclude each other. PRO21 is not counselling, but battle assistance.

    Special service:
A temporary bus stop for all-inclusive WIENWOCHE bus tours can be found in front of the Needy Centre. Throughout WIENWOCHE, individuals with disabilities are welcome to also participate in decentralised WIENWOCHE events outside the Needy Centre’s opening hours. Which events are covered by this service can be found in the current bus schedule and at pro21.postism.org.
Lack of assistance should not be an obstacle during WIENWOCHE, and you are encouraged to book your Culture Buddy during the Needy Centre’s office opening hours – it’s a match!
