  • COMMUNITY COLLEGE

    A Cooperation with Kunsthalle Wien

Could an exhibition like How To Live Together, showing at Kunsthalle Wien be a space for sweet idleness? Should visiting an exhibition be considered as work? Community College is the space to actively discuss such questions and WIENWOCHE artists, activists, participants and audience are invited to join the debates, collective study sessions and practical workshops.

In ‘Collective Study’ we exchange knowledge and skills – particularly those not acknowledged by society. How about a study of doing nothing? In ‘Networks of Solidarity’ Viennese initiatives like undok and Precarity Office present their engagement for fair work and connect. In ‘Why, what how do …we… do (that)?’ we are looking for strategies to open up art spaces and make them accessible. The discussion will be enriched by the position of the WIENWOCHE project THE NEEDY CENTRE, taking a critical stance on free time and ‘disability’.

    Language: German, English

The exhibition ‘How To Live Together‘ at Kunsthalle Wien runs until 15th October 2017.
