TRADE PARK is a trading event where communication replaces money, an event that is part of the global DIY movement and close to communities looking for other, more sustainable solutions for the future.
We invite you to join us for a day of exchange: the exchange of knowledge, objects and skills!
Talk and think with us about the working and recreational opportunities provided by our consumerist society. Let us explore other ways of consumption and leisure together!
You are welcome to bring something you have made yourself – from artworks to food – or anything that is still intact and could be of use for or appreciated by someone else (e.g. books, magazines, kitchen utensils, electronic devices, DVDs, plates, plants, toys, etc.). You can also just bring your knowledge/skills to trade for other people’s objects – or bring your objects to trade for somebody else’s skills!
TRADE PARK will also make up for the lack of gender equity in alternative scenes and offer various workshops, such as boxing and skating for girls*/women*/trans*/inter*/non-binary and queer* persons. At our silkscreen printing table, you can print your own TRADE PARK t-shirt, bag, or any other piece of fabric you would like to bring with you.
TRADE PARK will take place at Skate Park Hütteldorf, a place where subculture meets entertainment!
The Trade Park Collective was founded in Vienna in 2017 by artists, musicians and photographers who share the same utopian desire: to change society through dialogue, exchange, and resistance!
The TRADE PARK collective consists of Ana Paula F, Melissa Antunes de Menezes and Antonia Wagner-Strauss. As part of the global DIY movement they aim to create projects that question and resist social power structures.
